Democracy Deferred is a series of investigative stories that raise pointed questions about the legitimacy of the 2023 Nigerian presidential election as well as the current status and future trajectory of democracy in Africa’s most populous nation. These stories are intended to be the most comprehensive journalistic investigation to date of Nigerian elections.
This series published four long-form investigations, three shorter stories, a collection of photographs, and a comprehensive data methodology, portfolio and E-book.
